Working With Children Accreditation

Pursuant to the NSW child protection legislation and Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) policies and procedures, contractors and volunteers who engage in child-related work are required to complete the SCS Child Safe Communities (CSC) Contractors and Volunteers Working with Children (WWC) Accreditation Process (WWC Accreditation Process), which involves being inducted in child protection, reading and understanding the obligations and procedures under the relevant child protection legislation and SCS policies, as well as providing their Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance number for verification by SCS. CoVID-19 Legislation Emergency Measures Act – WWCC Extensions

The Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG) has extended all NSW WWCC clearances due to expire between 26 March 2020 and 26 September 2020 by six months. We are updating WWCC records to ensure that contractors and volunteers whose checks expire during those dates are being updated in our system. OCG Website Notification & Information
